From LoaWiki
Metaontologies are ontologies about ontologies, i.e. ontologies that have ontologies or ontology elements in their domain of discourse.
The Collaborative Ontology Design Ontology (C-ODO) describes the design aspects of ontologies: ontology data and systems, lifecycle, projects, collaboration, design rationales and patterns, functionalities.
C-ODO is designed as a network of ontologies, whose structure is depicted in the following diagram:
C-ODO is top-linked to some reference ontologies (DOLCE, DnS, Plans, InformationObjects, KCO, etc.), and down-links common semantic web ontologies (DC, FOAF, OWLODM, SKOS, WordNet20, OMV, etc.).
C-ODO network can be loaded starting from its imports closure file: http://www.loa-cnr.it/ontologies/OD/codolib.owl.
